Science Meets Health and Wellness

The main goal of this enrichment course is to explore diverse concepts in the areas of health and wellness. Many in our society have not been taught how to maintain good health, and are suffering the consequences in epidemic proportions. Students will learn what is needed in order for our bodies to function properly. They will play an active role in learning to care for themselves and will take control of their nutritional lifestyles, while learning to de-stress and relax.

Our approach will include a look at the sciences of physiology, pathology, immunology and biochemistry to explore the affect of our lifestyles on our bodies and overall health. Students will learn how to boost their energy levels, supercharge their immune systems and maximize their body’s healing power. We will explore a holistic approach in conjunction with the science behind it that will lead to greater understanding of how to lead a balanced life.
