Lower School Newspaper

The Brunswick Beacon is published in the Lower School and all boys are encouraged to participate.  There are three published papers throughout the school year: one in the autumn, another in the winter, and a grand finale, the spring issue.  The Beacon includes work from all grade levels.  The boys write articles, create word searches, cartoons, and art that represent what is going on at Brunswick or something special that they want to share. There is only one meeting per paper and the date/time is posted in the halls of the Lower School many weeks prior and an announcement is made in assembly.  Boys are invited to meet with the faculty advisor Kathy Thorpe and to collect information regarding the newspaper.  If a boy takes the shuttle or is unable to make a meeting, they are always welcome to stop by Mrs. Thorpe’s room and pick up an information packet to get started.  All are welcome!
