Brunswick's Upper School choral program includes both a co-ed singing ensemble for Brunswick and Greenwich Academy students, The Mahertians, and a male only group referred to as The MOB (Men of Brunswick).  A new co-ed group was introduced for the 2007-2008 school year, a gospel emsemble.  The students sing unaccompanied and are therefore known as an a cappella (Latin) or a cappella (Italian) group, the preferred spelling.   The Upper School a cappella groups are exposed to a wide range of intricate harmonies from be-bop to Queen! In addition to the full ensemble, smaller quartets and octets are encouraged to select a tune of their choice to perform. Being an acoustic group, one can hear them anywhere on campus from the lobby to the dining hall. The group performs at numerous school functions including open house for parents, homecoming, holiday and spring concerts in addition to performing at community residential facilities during the year.  The photo below shows the MOB at Homecoming 2008 with the school mascot.
