Honoring the Earth

This school year the Lower School did a year-long study of our school motto, "courage, honor, truth". In the midst of discussing the word honor the second grade class 2O/R started preparing for their annual play. As a class, the boys talked about ways to show honor and what the word actually means.  Along with their teachers they then decided to collaborate and write a play about how we can honor the earth and ourselves. These boys are very concerned about the environment and how to can "think green," so it seemed natural to write a play about showing respect for, honoring, planet earth. In addition to performing at a Lower School assembly the boys were asked by The Stepping Stone Museum in Norwalk, CT to perform there for an Earth Day Celebration. The boys were able to get their message out to a much wider audience and they feel like they really made a difference.  Check out the photos and see if you can identify two seafull, a turtle, a crab, a dolphin, a fish and a jelly fish in the photo.
