Mayfair Dance Classes
Mayfair is a series of eight dance classes for 5th and 6th grade boys and girls, held in the fall, providing instruction in ballroom and popular dancing, as well as an emphasis on social etiquette and good manners. Classes are held Friday afternoons in the Pre-School gym on Maple Ave. The dress code for boys is jacket and tie with smooth soled shoes. Some of the dance classes are themed and dress can be accordingly appropriate. Parents are invited to dance with their sons at the final Holiday Dance. The class times 4:30 to 5:30pm for the fifth grade and from 6:00 to 7:00pm for the sixth grade. Included in the schedule of classes are several theme dances such as Country & Western, Rock & Roll, and a Holiday Dance when parents are invited to dance with their students at the end of the class.
Happenings - Coed social activities for seventh and eight graders
Happenings events are co-ed social gatherings for seventh and eighth graders. Invitations to Happenings events are sent to all Brunswick and Greenwich Academy students in those grades in addition to selected students at other area schools. Happenings events include dances, skating parties and sports activities. Seventh and Eighth grade events are held separately. Dress is casual, but neat, for all Happenings events.
