The Brunswick math team meets twice each week in order to prepare for matches. Anyone who enjoys mathematics is welcome to attend these meetings. The Fairfield County Math League holds six meets each year. Brunswick takes six students, the A team, whose scores will count in the competition and also a number of B team members who are there for the experience and to prepare them as future A-teamers. Brunswick won the Fairfield County Math League in 1998, 1999, 2004, and 2005 and was second by the tiny margin of three points in 2003. We won first place in the small schools' division in the state meet in 2005 and took second place for the previous three years.

The Cliosohpic Society is a history club lead by master teacher John Van Atta.. The group meets to focus on specific topics, hear speakers and share information and resources. It is not a competitive group but rather students who share a passion for history.
