The modern language department strongly endorses the concept of language study abroad. Seeing as this is not possible during the school year, summer provides an ideal opportunity for both cultural and linguistic immersion in a foreign country. Under the guidance of the Modern Language Department Chairman, Fanning Hearon, several programs have been developed.
