The mission of Brunswick’s Technology Department is to provide ‘cutting edge’ technology products and related services, which support our community to better utilize technology to achieve improved teaching, learning, and administration. To this end, all students in ninth grade and above lease laptop computers which are used in the classroom on a daily basis. 

Brunswick’s Technology Department facilitates the integration of technology into all academic disciplines by pulling together the many threads of information available in an electronic venue. We aspire to optimize student learning by providing professional development, technical assistance and ongoing support for the effective, appropriate and visionary use of technology.

During the upper school years, the computer becomes an indispensable tool for communication and collaborative learning. Curriculum specific software is employed daily in a variety of academic disciplines and the internet becomes a "given" in a student's academic life. With increased access to technology resources comes greater responsibility and accountability in how those resources are employed, also part of effective teaching of technology use. 

The laptop program in the Upper School reinforces computing skills learned throughout the years in Lower and Middle School, and focuses on developing reliance on instruction through application. The Upper School is also where students can explore their interest in Computer Science through courses offered in advanced programming
