The Pre-School facility on Maple Avenue offers generous space to support a rich and fulfilling program. In addition to enjoying large and inviting classrooms, Pre School boys benefit from the use of a gymnasium, a library, a computer room, an art studio, a music room and even a special projects space for everything from block building to preparations for assemblies or special school events. In addition, there is a newly renovated playground designed specifically for Pre-School aged boys.
A special addition to the PreSchool is the cafeteria mural painted by Brunswick parent Winne Curry. The mural is an animal-inspired painting referred to as the 'Wick Woods'. Mrs. Curry prepared a guide for the teachers pointing out how many of each critter is living in the 'Wick Woods' along with some factual information about the animals.
Brunswick's Pre School is adjacent to the Upper School. On any given day one might see junior boys greeting children in the morning or a Senior student reading to a Pre-School aged boy and Upper School faculty pushing Pre-Schoolers on the swings. The proximity of the two divisions allows for a special relationship to develop between our youngest and oldest students, including a big brother/little brother program, and thereby sets in motion the warm feelings of community that characterize the Brunswick experience.
